As we celebrate 40/40 this year, the most revolutionary dj has done it again this year. As previously mentioned on this website, we expect DJ Fresh to drop us 3 albums this year!!! The first one is already out and in stores. Fresh Goes Electro is an album that is well explained by the title, so let’s define electro:
When used as part of a word, electro means electricity and this generic definition rings true when it comes to house music.
Electro house combines four to the floor beats commonly found in house music with elements of 80’s electro: Harmonically rich analogue basslines, abrasive high-pitch leads and the occasional piano or string riff. The resulting hybrid is a style which has taken the dance world by storm. Producers from all genres of music are trying their hand at it…some more successfully than others. DJ Fresh has used his experience behind the decks to pick a bunch of absolutely gorgeous electronic gems which are shouting out through stereos all across the globe right now.
