Dj Mdue exploded into the scene through Sandla Entertainment’s Local Talent Development Division. Rated very highly in terms of potential by Dj Wicked aka “the wicked one”, one of Swaziland’s finest djs, Dj Mdue has already shown his naturally intuitive ear for picking up dance-floor friendly tunes. Because of the generation he belongs to, he has embraced all the privileges new technology comes with and thus has decided to equip himself with the skills necessary to operate almost all the platforms of mixing music.

His love for mixing kick started in the year 2004 when he was introduced to mixing software that simulated a club dj table. After putting hours of practice, he saw it fit to venture out into reality and that is when he met with Swaziland and SADC’s then champion Dj Wicked. Now, Mdue is a product of Sandla’s non compromising objective of producing strictly pedigree dj’s. Mdue has patiently studied, very closely through observing the A-list of the trade at work, both local and international dj’s.

Dj Wicked assisted in helping Mdue breakdown the art form to its basic ingredients: beat matching, non-stop mixing, sampling and scratching. In the end, the result has surpassed its projection as he combines all the above while maintaining seamless mixing. With such a foundation in place, most of the experts in the industry have earmarked Mdue as Swaziland’s next icon Dj.

The desire to entertain comes naturally for him and he always has the latest variety of house music in his arsenal while also tapping into other genres. Once the technique and skill of delivery reaches the master levels he yearns for, he will then focus on establishing a style of play that will set him further apart from other up and coming dj’s currently in the industry. At the moment he is using his work ethic and passion for the game to keep him in tune with the listener’s desires.

With four years of experience in the pocket, he already has made waves having played alongside his local counterparts as well as those considered as Swaziland’s top dogs and has been placed third in the 2007 National DJ Competition. The experience does not end there as he has shared the decks with numerous international acts and has made regular features on the country’s national radio station as well. His aim is to develop the Mdue brand by always delivering more than what is expected of him and incorporating the latest trends in the dance culture while keeping in tune with his style of play. Mdue believes that it is always wise to be in tune with the listener’s desires but deliver it in your own individual way.
